Happy May 1st! I can’t believe it’s May already. Today I want to share with you a cute hair style that I’ve recently discovered.

Now I’m not claiming to be hair savvy, so if I take the time to share with you a style that I can do on my own hair, that means it’s an easy and simple style that can be done by anyone.

The Messy Bun

Tools: Fine tooth comb, ponytail holder, bobby pins, a brush, and some hairspray

First, I brush my hair and put it up in a high ponytail.

Then I take a fine tooth comb and tease out the ponytail. You want to tease in small sections so that you don’t miss any strands of hair. If you need to, spray a little hair spray while teasing and get more volume.

Next, you take your hair and wrap it around the base of your ponytail. Insert some bobby pins, spray a little hair spray, and your done! If you want to dress up your bun,  you can just add a cute little clip or bow.

Final Product:

I played around with this hair style on Sunday when Jeff and I went out for brunch and the movies. I love how it looks when I style my bangs out.
